Also, I spent serveral months traveling abroad during college to experience different cultures; which I enjoy. I've been involved in the Lutheran church and spent two summers as a counselor for Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp near Lakeside, MT. During medical school I was involved in Physicians for Human Rights. Favorite Books: Radical Hospitality, Harry Potter series, C.S. Lewis' Narnia Series

Why you chose residency in Montana: After thinking Washington was the most beautiful state for 24 years I did a rotation in Lewistown, Montana and discovered I was wrong. Mountains, rivers, no traffic, and really wonderful people - easy choice.

We've recently gotten addicted to watching entire seasons in a single sitting of Six Feet Under, Lost, and Sex in the City. Why you chose residency in Montana: Truthfully, it was a bit of a leap of faith. I just really appreciated and respected the attitude of the faculty and residents, the dedication to primary care and service to the underserved, and the balance between work and family. Oh yeah, and the mountains! After being here for a year, I can't imagine being anywhere else. |
