Mass Participation and Special Events
In addition to on-site coverage of many high school-, college-, and professional-level games, the fellow will have varying responsiblities in the coverage of many mass participation and special events. Events covered include the Montana Marathon (www.rimrunners.org), Montana Senior Olympics, Peaks to Praire (www.peakstoprairie.org), Big Sky State Games, Red Lodge 4th of July Rodeo (www.redlodge.com), MSU-B Cross-Country Invitational, the Montana Family Medicine Residency Fun Run, and the Montana All-State Wrestling Tournament.

Pre-participation Physicals
Pre-participation physicals are an integral component to the fellowship curriculum and there are many opportunities for the fellow to master this examination skill. The fellow is responsible for performing all of the pre-participation physicals for RMC, MSU-B, Billings Mustangs (www.billingsmustangs.com), and District II High School athletics, as well as the National Athletic Testing Program (www.natp.com) . Additionally, the fellow is responsible for organizing the pre-particpation physical examination session for elementary-aged children participating in the National Youth Sports Program (www.nyscorp.org).
